Gloria and Graham Gavert
A bicycle ride out to Grantchester by the young Graham Gavert, then at school in Cambridge, was
the start of a friendship that lasted many decades. Gloria and Graham were even able to persuade
Joan to make her first, and only, trip to the United States.
